Job Description:
Overview: WAGE: $ 16.75 / hour This internship provides hands-on
experience in inventory management, quality assurance, process
compliance, and data analytics within Valleyfair’s Food & Beverage
department. You will collaborate with the Food & Beverage
management team to develop strategies that optimize inventory
levels and increase corporate initiative compliance. This role is
ideal for individuals interested in the analytical and strategic
side of inventory management. Interns will also have the
opportunity to collaborate with executive leaders on real-world
challenges and innovative solutions, earn college credit with
personalized academic support, and gain meaningful professional
experience while working in the park. Responsibilities: Monitor and
manage Food & Beverage inventory and supplies. Support inventory
processes across locations and the Warehouse. Assist with ordering,
transfers, adjustments, and purchase orders. Maintain accurate
inventory records and complete weekly audits. Analyze inventory
data to improve accuracy and efficiency. I nvestigate inventory
discrepancies and resolve issues. Ensure FIFO rotation and minimize
product expiration . T rack and remove expired or non-compliant
products. Conduct audits for safety, waste, PPE, and policy
compliance. Coach location leadership on inventory best practices.
Use FoodTrak to maintain inventory control. Evaluate quality
assurance processes to improve costs and revenue. Support inventory
training programs for leadership. Follow a structured weekly
workflow including inventory, COGS, and audits. Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years of age or older Working toward or holding
a bachelor’s degree in Business , Supply Chain Management, or a
related field Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal
communication skills Highly organized and detail-oriented
Proficient in inventory management systems ( FoodTrak preferred)
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Knowledge of kitchen
safety, efficiency, and compliance practices Experience or interest
in quality assurance and cost efficiency analysis Adaptable to
changing inventory needs and operational priorities Ability to work
independently and collaboratively in a team setting Availability to
work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
