Registered Nurse (RN) | Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit Location: Minneapolis, MN Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,341 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 12 Weeks Start Date: 5/13/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified CVICU RN in Minneapolis, Minnesota, 55407! Job Title: CVICU RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit Duration: 12 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in CVICU required License: Valid state license in hand preferred Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: PA catheter interpretation and analysis required Open heart recovery experience direct from OR strongly preferred Experience with LVAD/RVAD/Impella, IABP required Experience with CRRT preferred Description: This position is for a CVICU RN working the night shift. The nurse will work a schedule of 3 shifts per week. The patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:2. The position requires a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience. First-time travelers are not accepted for this position. The nurse will be required to work every other weekend. ACLS and BLS certifications are mandatory. On-call duties are not required. The nurse is expected to float within the ICU units as needed. Block scheduling accommodations are not available. The facility does not accept local candidates within a 100-mile radius. The client may cancel up to 3 shifts without penalty for the assigned candidate. The role entails responsibilities such as hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator management, and CRRT. Special procedures include managing bedside tracheostomies, PEGs, and patient care for those recovering from open-heart surgery. The daily census is around 24 patients, with a total of 32 beds available. Interdisciplinary support is provided by various specialized teams including physical therapy and respiratory services.
