Doctor of Medicine | Administration Location: Minneapolis, MN Employer: VieMed Healthcare Staffing Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Start Date: ASAP About the Position Exciting Opportunity for General Medicine Physicians – Locum Position in Minnesota Join a dedicated team providing critical healthcare services as a Locum Physician in General Medicine. This role offers flexible PRN shifts across Minnesota, supporting Veterans by conducting Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments. Key Responsibilities: Perform interview-based exams with some physical assessments, including range of motion and muscle strength testing. Complete one-time non-treatment exams for Veterans, focusing on assessment rather than treatment or prescribing. Accurately document findings and submit reports within designated timeframes. Work on a PRN basis, with options to choose half-day (4-hours) or full-day (8-hours) shifts. Engage in quick credentialing and onboarding processes to start smoothly. Required Skills: MD or DO in good standing with active medical license in Minnesota. Proven experience in General Medicine, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Orthopedic Surgery. Ability to conduct interview-based assessments and perform basic physical exams. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to ensure accurate documentation. Excellent communication skills, maintaining professionalism in interactions with Veterans. Nice to Have Skills: Prior experience with Compensation & Pension exams. Familiarity with Veterans Affairs medical procedures. Experience in telehealth or remote assessments. Certification in specific areas related to veteran healthcare or exams. Preferred Education and Experience: MD or DO degree from an accredited institution. Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in general medicine or related fields. Prior experience conducting compensation and pension evaluations is advantageous. Other Requirements: Candidates must reside within a 25-mile radius of assigned clinic locations or have own office space if working from their own office. No prescribing, treatment, or medical management involved. Availability for shifts starting from 12/31/2025. Travel costs included in rates; additional certifications or portal training are not reimbursed. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and comply with all licensing requirements. Enjoy a competitive hourly rate of $624 along with a flat-rate structure for short and long shifts ($800 half-day, $1600 full-day). A one-time bonus of $650 is available upon completing training and initial exams.
