Impact You'll Have: Alliant is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic
professional to manage and lead our growing Environmental Services
Group. This is a tremendous opportunity to lead a group of
exceptional people, play a key role in elevating our group to the
next level, and play a key leadership role in the overall company.
As theDirector of Environmental Services, you will lead an
established team of environmental specialists with expertise in
environmental compliance, wetland delineation and permitting, and
environmental documentation. You will be responsible for the groups
marketing efforts to build upon our current strengths and identify
opportunities for growth and expansion to new markets and clients.
Responsibilities: Developing, championing, and advocating for the
vision of Alliants Environmental Services Group Managing workload,
schedules, and other tasks needed to lead the group through
collaboration with project managers across Alliants service areas
Expanding Alliants environmental service offerings through talent
acquisition, training, and partnering Identifying future project
opportunities and preparing technical proposals, scopes of work,
and fee estimates Collaborating with Alliant Transportation and
Land Development project managers to ensure timely and quality
delivery of environmental services Communicating with clients and
project team on project logistics and status Managing quality of
work and tracking project budgets and schedules Mentoring staff and
new hires to broaden their knowledge and professional skills
Coordinating Alliant representation and participation at industry
conferences and within professional organizations Required
Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Natural
Resources, Geology, Civil Engineering, or related field Ten or more
years of experience in the environmental sector Strong
interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to communicate
clearly through written and verbal communication Proven ability
preparing and presenting technical information to varied audiences
Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service and
fulfill commitments related to project deadlines Thorough
understanding of federal, state, municipal, and watershed district
environmental regulatory programs, including NPDES, Wetland
Conservation Act, MNDNR Public Waters, and Section 404 & 401
permitting Thorough understanding of NEPA and MEPA requirements for
Environmental Impact Statements (EIS), Environmental Assessments
(EA and EAW), Alternative Urban Areawide Reviews (AUAR), and
Categorical Exclusions (CATEX) Experience working closely with
owner, regulatory agencies, and contractor staff on active
construction projects Proven track record preparing proposals,
marketing, and successfully securing projects from varied clients
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with any of the following
facets of environmental protection and their associated permitting
requirements: SWPPP design for NPDES permitting including preparing
erosion and sediment control and turf establishment plans Wetland
delineation, mitigation, and permitting. Wetland and stream
restoration and wetland banking NEPA and MEPA environmental
documentation Threatened and endangered species surveys Vegetation
and habitat assessment surveys Contaminated materials management,
including contaminated groundwater dewatering, and asbestos and
regulated materials disposal Erosion and Stormwater Construction
Site Management and/or Designer of SWPPP Certification Wetland
Delineator certification, preferably in Minnesota Experience
working with transportation and/or land development projects

passion. The base pay for this position is expected to be in the
range of $140,000 - $170,000 annually, depending on experience and
qualifications. The selected candidate must be authorized to work
