Job Summary: NextGen is seeking a talented and passionate Sr Electrical Engineer/RF Engineer to join our growing team in North Mankato, MN. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, development, and testing of RF and electrical systems for a wide variety of devices spanning industrial, commercial, medical, and defense markets. You will work closely with a cross-functional team of engineers to bring innovative and high-performing products to market. Responsibilities: Design, simulate, and optimize RF and electrical systems for various applications. Develop and optimize impedance matching circuits for high-performance RF designs. Conduct RF testing and measurements, including S-parameters, radiation patterns, gain, efficiency, and VSWR. Generate comprehensive design documentation, including specifications, test reports, and manufacturing instructions. Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in RF and electrical technology. Troubleshoot and debug performance issues in prototypes and existing products. Contribute to the development of new RF technologies and intellectual property. Collaborate with firmware and software engineers to ensure seamless system integration. Work effectively in a team environment and communicate technical concepts clearly. Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers. Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical, or RF Engineering. Proven experience in RF and electrical design and testing (preferably > 5 years). Proficiency in schematic capture software (e.g., Altium). Hands-on experience with electrical & RF test equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, signal generators). Familiarity with electrical & RF design tools and techniques, such as impedance matching, filtering, MCU interface, Power supply, and amplifier design. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
