Project Coordinator Job in Eagan, MN
 
Works with the Data Center Rationalization (DCR) program manager in the following capacities.
• Support the coordination of efforts, resources, and knowledge across DCR projects
• Coordinate, facilitate, and report on change and issue resolution
• Implement agreed management and reporting standards, procedures and tools
• Monitor performance and program progress for migration project managers
• Support overall program timeline and dependencies
• Coordinate acquisition and allocation of vendor management resources and services
• Support the program management office organization
• Utilize established process for tracking, status reporting, managing, and resolving issues
• Help maintain and update the program budget to reflect actual costs and changes in planned costs
• Support the DCR group and the teams to identify and monitor risks within individual projects through project completion
• Work with internal/external functional teams in order to gather and document requirements.
• Negotiate delivery dates working with program manager and migration PM and maintain communication with those groups during the delivery and execution stages of data center closure initiatives.
• Ensure that relevant documentation is completed correctly and provide general administrative oversight for closure projects
• Ensure that the execution of tasks comply with relevant departmental processes
• Work with closure specialists to identify and manage conflicting tasks and adjust priorities
 
 
Requirements
• Requires a bachelor's degree and 2+ years of experience in the field or in a related area.
• Experience with financial costing and reporting models is preferred
• Working knowledge of data center hardware and software technologies, including server platforms, storage, databases and networks
• Advanced knowledge of Excel
 
Manager notes:
1. Can you share a little more about why this need came up? This is part of DCR program consolidation data centers. We have an online and roadmap database and we have bit a cleanup to do as some fields that don’t have data and require help. Must gather data and update onto a web application or add to excel spreadsheet and import onto the website. 2. This is a 3 Months assignment. Is there a possibility of extension? This is all the time we need this person for. 3. What are the top absolute must haves? Advanced knowledge of Excel is a MUST. Some level of technology understanding (example project coordinator in technology) 4. What would make someone successful in this role besides having the required skills? Their ability to take initiative. They will be gathering data they don’t have so we need them to take initiative to get the job done. Self-starter and have the ability to work independently. 5. What is the work environment like or the culture? Working with counterparts in technology in the US and UK. Would like this person to work in Eagan because the majority of people they will work with are in US.
